One home learning project will be set every half term on class charts.
Students will be provided with a list of options to choose from.
Each task listed will link to topics covered in lessons and will utilise key techniques, this will give students a chance to retrieve core elements and explore more creative outcomes.
Students will be expected to spend 2-3 hours on the tasks and will be given two weeks to complete, they must seek help during their second lesson prior to the hand in date if needed to allow time to complete.
Completed work must be photographed and uploaded onto class charts.

Component 1 - Portfolio (Coursework)

Independent work will be an extension of your class 'portfolio of work' which is 60% of the overall GCSE grade.
Please see your Art & Design subject's project checklist for details on specific home learning tasks.
Activities can include: transcriptions of artists work, research, critically evaluating your work as it progresses, annotation of an artist's work, taking photographs, design ideas for potential artwork, presenting your work in a creative fashion in folders, working on improvements to previous work within folders.
Recommendation of 1 hour independent work per week.

Component 2 - Externally Set Task

During this period, you will be set weekly homework tasks with the expectation of a minimum of 2 hours independent work per week.
You will have the opportunity to produce independent artwork. At the start of the component you will be provided with a list of activities to compliment your Art & Design subject. Activities will include photography briefs, Photoshop briefs and observation drawing briefs.
All work produced will form an integral part of continuous assessment and will be assessed according to relevant assessment objects.
