Beckfoot Trust is an organisation that links a group of local Bradford schools together so that they can collectively improve the life chances for young people within their schools. Our aim is to create a group of truly remarkable schools each with a genuine comprehensive intake. They will be wonderful places for young people to learn and grow up in. We want to make a difference. We want to create something special.

Bingley Food Bank

We have formed a link with Bingley Food Bank and can issue foodbank vouchers on families request

The foodbank operates to provide emergency food to those who are experiencing some kind crisis in their lives and currently serves people resident or homeless in Bingley, Cottingley, Crossflatts, Cullingworth, Denholme, East Morton, Eldwick, Gilstead, Harden, Micklethwaite, Riddlesden, Stockbridge and Wilsden.

Eligable clients present the voucher at Bingley Food Bank at the Arts Centre in Bingley.

The opening hours are:

  • Tuesday 10:30am-11:45am
  • Friday 10:30am-11:45am

The foodbank is not open at any other times.

(Shipley Foodbank at the Baptist Church is open Monday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30pm and Windhill Tuesday afternoon from 2:30pm)

Refreshments are served as the client waits for the bags to be made up whilst clients talk to signposter.

Each bag contains enough food for 3 days. Vegetarians and halal food requirements are made up on request and the bags relfect the balanced diets recommended by dieticians.

Bags are handed over in exchange for the voucher with the recipient signing to accept delivery of the food.

Normal practice is that three vouchers, issued one at a time, may be redeemed in any 3 month period and after that individual circumstances will be taken into account.
