Interview Practice Event - Year 9, Band X students
Wednesday 2 March 2022
As part of our Future Ready Careers programme, your child will take part in an Interview Practice Event on Wednesday 2 March 2022 in school. This is an exciting and useful opportunity for your child to experience an online interview.
The interviews will take place over Microsoft Teams in one of our computer rooms, with industry volunteers from local and national businesses. The interviews last about 20 minutes and students will be asked general questions about themselves, their subjects, career choices, strengths, interests and hobbies. They will also receive valuable feedback which will help them to reflect on their presentation and interview skills, so they can be even better prepared for interviews in the future.
As part of the event on Wednesday 2 March 2022, we would like your child to ‘Dress to Impress’. Students should come to school in their interview attire. They can wear their school black trousers/skirt and black shoes, with a smart shirt or top, or they may choose to dress even more formally. If your child does not have anything suitable, wearing normal school uniform on the day is fine. Students should still wear their school lanyard.
We hope they enjoy this experience as they start to consider future possibilities.
