Dear Parents and Carers,
Year 7 Assessments
As we approach our Key Stage Three annual examinations, we felt it was important to share some information with you. To replicate their experience during future GCSE and A Level Public Examinations, pupils will sit their Key Stage Three assessments in the Sports Hall.
This year, the Key Stage Three examinations will take place from Monday 21 June 2021 to Thursday 24 June 2021. Exams will be timetabled for English and Maths for Year 7 on Monday 21 June 2021 and will be carried out under exam conditions. Each examination will last between 60 – 90 minutes. Further details about exact timings and seat numbers will be shared with you and our students early next week.
Staff will guide students in how to prepare for their examinations including what content and skills they need to revise. Information from the exams will be shared with students, parents and carers. We will use the information from these exams to adapt our schemes of work for next year to cover any gaps in our students learning.
We hope that the information in this letter will help you as parents/carers to further support your child in their exam preparation.
