Year 11 Update
Now that the final GCSE examination season is nearly here, I would like to draw your attention to some key dates over the weeks and months ahead.
Year 11 Prom – Thursday 12th May and Year 11 Flamingo Land Reward Trip – Friday 13 May 2022
These two celebratory events are fast approaching. It is wonderful to have these, particularly after the last couple of years. I hope the students have a fabulous time and I look forward to seeing them in their prom finery!
Year 11 Leavers Assembly and Final Day – Friday 10 June 2022
The last day of normal school for our Year 11 students will be on Friday 10 June 2022. We will mark this day with our Year 11 Leavers Assembly followed by refreshments. This is a really special occasion where we celebrate our students and reflect on their Beckfoot journey.
After Friday 10 June 2022, pupils will only be required to come into school for their examinations. Normal expectations regarding uniform and behaviour will, of course, apply during the exam period.
Examinations
Year 11s have been fully briefed on the most up to date examination rules and regulations. It is essential all students are aware of these so there are no malpractice issues which may result in disqualification. All students have received a copy of their final exam timetable including the location of each exam. Please ensure your child knows where each exam is being held.
GCSE Results Day – Thursday 25 August 2022
GCSE examination results will be available in school from 9am to 11 am in the school atrium.
It only remains for me to thank all parents and carers for the support you have given your child during their time at Beckfoot. I would also like to wish all Year 11 students well in both their forthcoming examinations and the next stage in their educational journey - I know they will continue to be very special young people and brilliant in all that they do. For those students intending to continue their educational post-16 journey with us at Beckfoot, we very much look forward to seeing you in September.
