Xpress Yourself Winners
February 1 - 7 was Children’s Mental Health Week, and as part of marking the week we held a competition, asking our students to submit ways that they express themselves. We were totally blown away with both the quality and the vast range of entries. Our guest judge, Laura Stimpson, had the pleasure of photography, poetry, music, art, drama, graphics, creative writing, cross-stitch and pen-pal letters to choose from.
After much deliberation, Laura said “There was a fabulous mix of entries, it was really difficult to choose a winner, as how we express ourselves is so personal to us. The winners were the entries that brought a real reaction from me, and that I was able to engage with. It was a privilege to see every entry and I was humbled by the quality of each and every piece of work”.
A special mention to 811 for their inspiring classroom display. Enjoy the chocolates!
The runners up: Charlotte P - Year 7, Halima - Year 9, Zoya - Year 10, Yash - Year 11, Emily - Year 10
The Key Stage winners: KS3 - Immy - Year 9, KS5 - Becca - Year 13
KS4 and Beckfoot Express Yourself Overall Competition Winner: Rohan - Year 11
We hope all our students enjoyed expressing themselves and can continue with both new and old hobbies that support their well-being! We also hope our winners enjoy their art sets and vouchers.
Thank you so much everyone, have a wonderful half term and enjoy the chance to have a rest!
