The Linking Network
Beckfoot student Skye and Hazelbeck student Sulleman performed a poem of how important linking with different schools is. Their poem was called 'How do we all live well together?'. Skye and Sulleman performed in Bradford's City Hall in front of different schools within the Bradford district. They both created the poem from quotes that were gathered from staff and students in schools that work with The Linking Network. Both Beckfoot and Hazelbeck have worked closely together over the years to produce musical performances showcasing talent across both schools. This has encouraged opportunities to create new friendships and learn about differences within our school communities.
How do we all live well together?
By being curious about each other,
Remember not to judge one another.
So we can all live well together,
So we can all live well together.
Show a little empathy, it goes a long way,
Spreading kindness throughout peoples' day.
So we can all live well together,
So we can all live well together.
Communicate with others and understand them,
Be prepared to be a good listener and do not condemn.
So we can all live well together,
So we can all live well together.
Learning about each other's differences,
Helps us all live well together,
Celebrating everyone for who they are, forever.
So we can all live well together,
So we can all live well together.
Well done Skye and Sulleman, truly a fantastic performance representing our schools!
