Ski Trip to Austria 2025
Dear Parent/Carer
We are proposing to run a ski trip to Wagrain in Austria for students currently in Years 7 – 12 over the February half term 2025, leaving on Friday 14 February 2025 and returning on Saturday 22 February 2025.
The cost of the 2025 trip is £1299.
The price includes:
- An executive coach with use of coach abroad
- Ferry and port charges
- 6 nights full board accommodation (3* hotel)
- 6 days ski pass
- 6 x 5 hrs lessons
- Equipment hire including ski/boots/poles and helmets
- Winter Sports travel insurance with Covid cover
- Covid guarantee
- The cost of SKI CLOTHING is NOT included
The trip proposal is as follows:
- There will be a maximum of 44 students accompanied by 6 staff.
- We will be staying in Hotel Hauslwirt in Wagrain.
- We will be skiing in the largest linked area in Austria!
- Evening activities are included in the cost and will be confirmed nearer the time.
There will be no off-piste skiing
Please be aware that due to the nature of accommodation in Europe, the sleeping arrangements may involve students of the same gender sharing a bed as pictured here. By giving your child consent to go on the trip, you will also be consenting to this arrangement.
If you are interested in your child taking part, please complete the form below when it goes live on Wednesday 6 March 2024 at 6:00pm. The form will close on Monday 11 March 2024. The first 44 students will be notified and will then be required to pay a deposit of £150 within 48 hours. If the deposit is not received within this time, your child will lose their space and it will be offered to the next person on the waiting list. A payment schedule will be set up once deposits have been received so that students can pay in instalments over the course of the year.
We plan to run this trip every 2 years, so if you are not successfully in getting a place this time, you can try again for 2027.
Students who have previously taken part in the Ski Trip have found it to be a most rewarding experience. They have reported that they have increased confidence due to learning a new skill, experiencing a different culture and being part of a team. The students who go on the ski trip will be representing our school. It is therefore imperative that their behaviour is exceptional. In the event of serious incidents occurring whilst we are away, the school will reserve the right to send students home at the expense of parents/carers.
Please note that your child’s place on the ski trip is subject to their continued good behaviour throughout the school year.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact our trips coordinator at BeckTrips@beckfoot.org.
Yours faithfully,
Glenn Wright, Head of Post-16 & Ski Trip Leader
