Beckfoot Trust is an organisation that links a group of local Bradford schools together so that they can collectively improve the life chances for young people within their schools. Our aim is to create a group of truly remarkable schools each with a genuine comprehensive intake. They will be wonderful places for young people to learn and grow up in. We want to make a difference. We want to create something special.

Prison Me... No Way!

Download letter here

Dear Parents/Carers

Monday 14 February 2022

We are delighted to let you know on Monday 14 February 2022, we have ‘Prison Me…No Way!’ (PMNW) delivering their interactive, educational and innovative programme to Year 9 students at Beckfoot.

PMNW have a vision where every young person leaves school with the knowledge and confidence to take control, make positive choices that avoid becoming involved in crime, stay safe and realise their full potential. They also work to help young people develop peer respect and realise the many dangers that they can inadvertently be subjected to.

Throughout the day, our young people will be provided with real-life learning experiences to help reduce risky behaviour and gain knowledge to know how to prevent becoming involved in crime. The aim is to get young people to think carefully about the decisions they make throughout their lives, stay safe, positively manage the temptations of modern society, and increasing risks posed through social media, develop into law-abiding citizens, and achieve their full potential.

In previous years, the students have thoroughly enjoyed the day and we know Year 9 will also.

If you do not wish your child to participate in this day – please click here by Friday 11 February 2022.

Yours sincerely,

Best wishes

Mr Heaviside                        Mr Darling

Head of Year 9                        Assistant Headteacher
