Dear Parent/carers,

Firstly, I would like to thank you for continued support in maintaining high standards of PE kit. To provide more clarity on our expectations, we have put together a PLS specific to PE. We hope you appreciate that not only is this for high standards of presentation but also for health, hygiene, and safety reasons.

Key points to highlight:

• If a student forgets any item of kit (1 or more) they will receive a ATL 3 (P2, not ready to learn and P2, Equipment – incorrect PE kit)
• If a student forgets any item of kit, they are expected to borrow spare kit from PE.
• If a student refuses to borrow the spare kit they will receive an ATL 4 (On call) for refusal to follow staff instructions.

Students must remove all jewellery for PE. Ear piercings may be taped up if they cannot be removed but this must be a last resort and students must provide their own tape. Hair must also be tied up and out of the student’s face. Both are a health and safety requirement so are non-negotiable.
