Beckfoot Trust is an organisation that links a group of local Bradford schools together so that they can collectively improve the life chances for young people within their schools. Our aim is to create a group of truly remarkable schools each with a genuine comprehensive intake. They will be wonderful places for young people to learn and grow up in. We want to make a difference. We want to create something special.

Dear Parent or Carer of students in Tutor 711

Tutor Group 711: An update about your child’s provision

We’re writing to you about upcoming changes to Wave 4 provision as a result of the easing of pandemic restrictions.

But first, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support for your child’s involvement in the Wave 4 provision and, more recently, for the feedback you and your child have provided; this information is invaluable to us in shaping what we do at Beckfoot for the benefit of your child, and others.

If our government announces on Monday 21 June 2021 that we can end bubbles in schools, from Monday 28 June 2021, your child will:

  • Attend tutor time with their new tutor, Mrs Smith, in LS3.
  • Attend English, Humanities and Future Readiness with Mrs Smith.
  • Attend Wellbeing Workshop with Miss Wallbank.
  • Attend Maths, Science and Languages in a smaller group with a specialist teacher.
  • Attend Creativity (Art, Music, DT, Drama) and PE lessons in a larger group with a specialist teacher.
  • These changes will ensure that Wave 4 students develop confidence in moving around school, interacting with peers from across their year group, and access specialist facilities.

We’re looking forward to making these adjustments to the benefit of our students.

Kind regards,

Alex Denham
Deputy Headteacher
