KS4 Assessments
Dear Parent/Carer
Year 10 Mock Assessments
As part of our annual assessment calendar, our year 10 students have their first mock exams scheduled for immediately after the Easter holidays.
- Week commencing 25 April 2022 – English and Maths assessments in the school hall
- Week commencing 2 May 2022 – assessments in all option subjects during class time
- Week commencing 27 June 2022 – Science assessments in the school hall
Students will be tested on everything they have studied across the academic year. In the coming weeks their class teachers will be providing them with more details in order to support them to prepare fully for each exam and give them the information and guidance needed to do the very best they can.
We believe that starting these assessments from year 7 onwards will help our young people to be better prepared for their future GCSE and A-Level exams. Not only will they be more aware of the importance of revision, and how to revise, but they should also feel more comfortable when sitting any exam as they progress through school. In short, we want to remove the fear factor as early into their Beckfoot journey as possible.
We will be sharing the results of these assessments with you alongside of the final reports of the year in the week commencing 23rd May 2022.
