Eid al-Fitr 2022
As the holy month has begun, we wanted to get in touch and firstly wish all our families who are participating in the observance a sincere Ramadan Mubarak! Secondly, we wanted to confirm our expectations of attendance for the end of this month and give families an opportunity to get in contact if they have any questions.
As in previous years, we will support families by providing one day of authorised absence for religious observance. It looks like it will be on Monday 2 May 2022 (which is a bank holiday) and will end at sundown on Tuesday 3 May 2022.
We will expect all students to attend school for the rest of the week. Please be aware if your child is in Year 7, 8, 9 or 10 they will have assessments the week beginning 2 May 2022, these will take place all week. Year 11 and 13 students will need to catch up on any work missed in preparation for final exams.
We ask that parents/carers complete the 'Eid al-Fitr 2022 absence form' by Thursday 28 April 2022.
