Beckfoot Trust is an organisation that links a group of local Bradford schools together so that they can collectively improve the life chances for young people within their schools. Our aim is to create a group of truly remarkable schools each with a genuine comprehensive intake. They will be wonderful places for young people to learn and grow up in. We want to make a difference. We want to create something special.

Covid-19 update

Download letter

Dear Parents/Carers

I wanted to write to remind you of the current situation regarding COVID 19 and the need for testing and isolation. This follows a number of queries this week.

Whilst removal of restrictions is now in place, Covid 19 remains with us across all of our communities. It is important that the current guidelines are followed by us all to protect those most vulnerable and to minimise disruption of face-to-face learning for our children.

Attendance: The aim this year is to maximise the number of children and young people in face-to-face education. We want them to be able to have as normal an experience at school as possible and it is fantastic to have so many of them back learning with us again.

Currently, Isolation is no longer required for those who have been double vaccinated (14 days after 2nd dose) or those aged under 18 in the following circumstances:

· If identified as a close contact

· If in a household where another householder has tested positive or is symptomatic

Isolation is only required:

· For individuals who are symptomatic (they should get a PCR test as soon as possible).

· If you have a positive LFD test and you are awaiting a PCR result.

· For those with a positive PCR result (for ten days following 1st positive test or for ten days from onset of symptoms).

· Those who have not been double vaccinated, are over 18 and have been identified as a close contact.

For all other circumstances it is vitally important that our students are in school and learning face to face with their friends and teachers.

Home testing for students has now resumed with the arrival of testing kits from PHE.

All test results should be reported (positive, negative or void):
· School: https://forms.office.com/r/xQQAXuWYyW
· Government portal: https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result

Please do not hesitate to get in contact with our Attendance Team regarding any of the above.

Best wishes.
