As part of Bradford Manufacturing Weeks, a group of businesspeople from local companies and organisations visited Beckfoot Trust students at Beckfoot Upper Heaton.

Students from Years 9-10 from Beckfoot School, Beckfoot Oakbank and Beckfoot Upper Heaton were given an insight into routes into manufacturing and recruitment, with ideas in how to better pursue a career in manufacturing and other areas. Students posed a wide range of questions to the visitors and were given detailed insights into the businesses represented.

• James Woffendin – Borg Warner

Gemma Sherborne from LCF Law hosted the event and Nick Garthwaite & Laura Dooher with the support of Bradford Chamber of Commerce facilitated the organisation.

Students gained a good insight into the panel's background, the work their companies do and the potential ways to be successful with their own future employment opportunities, at this critical stage in planning for their futures.
