Look around our school, talk to staff and students and hear from the Headteacher, Mr Simon Wade. He will give presentations throughout the evening when the hall is full, starting from 5:30pm.
A Level Computer Science
Computer Science is about designing algorithms to solve problems. In this sense Computer Science is no more about computers than astronomy is about telescopes. Many challenges lie in the future for Computer Scientists to solve. This course, with its emphasis on abstract thinking, problem-solving, algorithmic and mathematical reasoning, is a good foundation for understanding these future challenges. This is an
ideal course to study alongside Maths and Science subjects.

Entry Requirements
- Grade 5 in GCSE English Language and/or Literature
- Grade 6 in Computer Science
- Grade 6 in GCSE Mathematics or 7 if Computer Science not studied at GCSE

Careers
Once students have completed their Computer Science A-Level they may
further continue their studies at University or enter the job market.
This Computer Science qualification is recognised by the Russell Group as really useful for degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, Medicine, Economics, Optometry and other related subjects.
