This week

Given the extreme weather conditions forecast for the remainder of this week, we have decided to allow all students the choice of following attire for the next 3 days:
- their full their normal full school uniform with normal school shoes (jumper does not have to be worn); or
- their full Beckfoot School PE kit with trainers (hoodie does not have to be worn).
No other items of clothing will be permitted. 
For post -16 students, this will also include the wearing of smart shorts.
On Monday 29 June 2026, we will revert back to normal full school uniform with normal school shoes during the day.
Remember: we strongly recommend bringing plenty of water, sun protection, including sun cream and a hat/cap (to be worn whilst outside during breaktimes, PE lessons, and other outdoor activities), to help protect against the sun.
For outdoor PE lessons, students should come prepared for activity in the heat. Please note that sunglasses cannot be worn during PE, but suitable sun hats are encouraged when outside.

Thursday 26 February 2026 – Year 7 Parents/Carers Evening

Dear Parent/Carer

We would like to invite you to attend our Year 7 Virtual Consultation Evening on Thursday 26 February 2026.  This is an important evening and provides you with an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with their teachers.

A lot of information is available on our school website about our curriculum and assessment. During the consultation evening appointment, your child’s teacher will focus on areas of the curriculum your child has found harder and discuss ways they can improve both in school and at home. Please do have any questions you would like answering ready and your child’s teacher will also answer these. When booking appointments, there is an opportunity to write questions in the appointment booking, which could give the teacher time to prepare before-hand. 

We are continuing to use video appointments through our usual online booking system.  The online appointment booking system allows you to choose your own appointment times with teachers.  When you have booked your appointment times you will receive an automatic email confirmation of your appointments.

The appointments on the evening are from 4:00pm until 7:00pm (some are 4:15pm until 7:15pm).  Interview times are arranged at 5-minute intervals and due to the nature of video appointments, staff and parents are asked to keep their conversation to 5 minutes as the call will start and finish automatically as per the schedule.  We would ask you to be ready for each appointment, as, if you join late, the time to talk to that teacher will be reduced. 

The online booking system will be available from 6:00pm on Wednesday 4 February 2026 to start making appointments and will remain open until 12:00pm on the day of the event.

When you are logging in the booking system, please use the following information (this information has to be exactly the same as what is on our system):

  • Your details: Salutation, First Name, Surname and Email Address
  • Your child’s details: Student’s First Name, Student’s Surname and Student’s Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)

We recommend that you arrange your appointments as soon as possible after the system opens as the slots tend to get booked up quickly.
