Sixth Form Open Evening - Thursday 6 November 2025

Dear Families,
Does your child struggle with independent work?
Do they struggle to meet deadlines?
Do they find getting organised difficult?
We have solutions to support your child in these important GCSE years, and encourage you to discuss the options below with your child to be proactive about preparing them for the challenging exam season less than two years away.
KS4 Supervision
When: 3pm – 4pm, Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Where: Room M14
What: ‘Supervision’ for Year 10 and 11 students supports them doing independent study and revision. Teachers book students into supervision sessions to support keeping up with deadlines and vital revision in preparation for their mocks and real exams. Supervision is run by members of the Senior Leadership Team.
You will receive a notification on the Class Charts app if your child has been booked in to supervision. If your child fails to attend, they will be booked into detention.
Study Support
When: One day of the week, beginning in half-term 2 (details to follow), 3pm – 4pm
Where: Room DT1
Mrs Anna Douglas (Head of Year 10) and Mrs Donna Conway (Year 10 Pastoral Manager) run sessions once a week where students can attend in order to have somewhere quiet to complete homework, revise and complete other independent learning activities with support from their year team.
We hope that this information is useful to you.
Thank you for your support.
Yours faithfully,
Simon Wade
Headteacher
