Morning drop offs and afternoon pick ups
Following a number of concerns shared by our most valued local residents, I am writing to ask for your support at the beginning and mostly, at the end of the school day to ensure that you are parking appropriately with full consideration for our neighbours and community.
To help us, please ensure that you do not park on any of the following roads under any circumstances:
- Wagon Lane
- Ash Grove
- Ashfield Crescent
- Southlands Avenue
- Southfield Road
- Southlands Grove
Along with ensuring that school buses and special needs transport can enter and exit the site safely, most of these roads are designated for access only. This will also demonstrate consideration for our local residents, who are at times experiencing difficulty accessing their homes and driveways.
Please also ensure that you only park in the designated spaces on Bradford Road in order to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of all our students. The new Bradford Road layout means that there is considerably less parking in close proximity to the school than previously. Therefore, it is preferable, where possible, for students to either walk, cycle, use school buses or public transport to and from school.
Our turning circle, just off Bradford Road (towards our back car park) is available to use for drop off/pick up, if done so safely. Please follow the flow of traffic, do not block any pedestrian crossings or the entrance/exit to the rear car park and please do not mount kerbs to park.
