Applying to Sixth Form

The key to completing a successful application for our Sixth Form is twofold. Firstly, we operate a blocking system whereby subjects are grouped into blocks. Only one subject can be chosen from each block (as they are all taught at the same time). Secondly, each subject has its own entry criteria and these criteria must be met in order to be accepted onto the chosen course.

Blockings - Please click here to view the current blockings.

Entry Criteria - Grade 4 in Maths and English plus 3 A* to C grades. Please click here for more detailed information on our admissions policy.

Course Information - Please click here to view all our course information. It is vital that you check each subject you want to study against the entry criteria listed.

Application Process - We are operating a single paper application process this year. Pick up an application form from our Sixth Form Information Evening on Thursday 19 January 2017 from 6.00 - 8.30pm.

For both internal and external applicants the application must be fully completed to include signatures by subject staff to show that the subject choices made are realistic and within capability. Attendance at the Sixth Form Information Evening forms a compulsory part of the application process. If you have any queries please email Helen Firth/Rachel Bradbury 6thformteam@beckfoot.org

Closing Date - All applications need to be submitted to the Sixth Form office by the end of school on Friday 03 February 2017. Applications may be considered after this date but priority will be given to those submitted in time.
