As part the Hazelbeck bid to reach World Class status, a group of Beckfoot Students have been working closely with Hazelbeck students to deliver a social responsibility piece. Our students helped to prepare a Easter meal in school for a group of residents from a care home in our local community.
The students first went to visit the residents to survey their favourite foods. They then helped to order the required ingredients and helped Hazelbeck students prepare the food themselves.
After the group of residents enjoyed their meal they were treated Easter activities including an Easter Egg hunt in Hazelbeck's sensory gardens, making finger puppets, knitting and solving an Easter themed crossword which students has created.
The residents had a great time and it was lovely to see students from both schools working independently as a cohesive and responsible team.
