Communications Day

On Wednesday, we held a Communications Day for Year 8.

The theme was based around the concept of freedom (as this is the focus of National Poetry Day this year).

Students were told that a new oppressive regime had taken power (1984 style) and that they had to create an underground newspaper, speech, Utopian vision and then present their ideas to the group. At the end of the day they were told that the regime had been toppled and democracy / the resistance had prevailed.

The photos below give a flavour of the day. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all staff involved in making the day a rewarding experience for the students.
