We approach the end of a remarkable term, having gained World Class Schools status, the TeenTech award, seen our Year 7s settle in and thrive, marvelled at the amazing talent on display at Seussical the Musical, watched our Year 11s take on board the demands of their final GCSE, including attending additional learning sessions after school...the list of successes and special moments could go on and on! It was also a privilege this week to attend a Christmas party for some elderly members of our local community, organised by our Health and Social Care students (see photo gallery below).
Our last week of term is no less busy. All KS3 and KS4 year groups will be having reward films and we have the annual concert ‘Jingle all the Way’ on Wednesday and Thursday next week. There are still a few tickets left!
Friday is ‘Wear your Christmas Jumper Day’, suggested and organised by Jahanzeb Ahmed, Missy Mohammed and Esha Ahmed, tutor group 703 and the Borneo expedition team. Students can donate a £1 to wear a Christmas jumper and attend the student or staff pantomime. With an Expedition team bake sale and raffle alongside, we will have a great last day! Proceeds will be donated to the Bradford Soup Run, which feeds the needy and homeless at Christmas, and the expedition fund.
